Episode 876 - NINA BASDRAS: GREECE AND ICELAND

Today on RÚV English Radio, the singer and musician bridging Iceland and Greece.

Nina Basdras ([email protected]) is a Greek singer and musician living in Iceland. She has recorded an album called Nani together with Icelandic guitarist Ásgeir Ásgeirsson - a collection of traditional Greek lullabies arranged for voice and guitar.

The album was inspired by her Greek-Icelandic son and the experience of raising a child between two cultures and languages. It combines Greek musical tradition with Icelandic acoustic music.
