Today, RÚV English Radio is in Kirkjubæjarklaustur.
Skaftárstofa (https://www.vatnajokulsthjodgardur.is/en/areas/lakagigar/skaftarstofa1) is the Vatnajökull National Park visitor centre, located near Kirkjubæjarklaustur on route one. It serves also as an information centre for the municipality of Skaftárhreppur. The facility sits in a beautiful new building, and is a great place to stop and learn more about the Vatnajökull glacier, and the wider area.
Darren went to Skaftárstofa to meet Fanney Ásgeirsdóttir, who told him more about the building, and plans for a major new exhibition later this year.
