Episode 77 - THE GRIEF OF LOSING A CHILD: GLEYM MÉR EI & SORGARMIÐSTÖÐ

Today, RÚV English looks at two organisations which can help parents through a terrible loss.

Darren is joined by previous RÚV English guest Pálina (https://www.facebook.com/lavikingamexicana/), and Ana Baldursdóttir, to talk about their roles with Gleym mér ei (Forget me not - https://gme.is/en/) - a non-profit organisation for those who have lost during pregnancy or during or after birth. Since 2017, Gleym mér ei has given memory boxes to parents experiencing these losses.

Gleym mér ei is also part of Sorgarmiðstöð (https://sorgarmidstod.is/en/), which exists to support those who are grieving and all those who work towards their well-being. Its activities are primarily related to support, counselling, information services and education.
