Today on RÚV English Radio, we're in Akureyri, in one of the city's oldest buildings.
Nonni was a priest and writer, who travelled throughout Europe in the 19th century, and wrote about his childhood in north Iceland in stories that were translated and published around the world.
Akureyri museum director Haraldur Þór Egilsson guided Darren through Nonni's house (https://www.minjasafnid.is/en/the-nonnis-house).
This is the second in our five-part series looking at the city's museums - hear the others on each of the next three Fridays.
RÚV English Radio is heard freely around the world and in Iceland, and covers everything Icelandic - news, culture, music, language, events, people, places & more - in English.
