There's still time to register for this year's Color Run. RÚV English Radio finds out more.
The Color Run (https://colorrun.is/) is an idea which comes to Iceland from the USA (which explains the unusual spelling of 'color'"), and sees runners make their way on a 5k circuit from Laugardalsvallar. But this run is, literally, a much more colourful affair than others.
On the running route there are four colour gates roughly every kilometre, each with its own colour: blue, green, yellow and pink. As runners go through the colour gate, the colour will be sprayed over them by dedicated throwers. They are a special blend of magical colours and corn starch and are 100% natural, safe and recognised by food institutions worldwide.
You can register up to the day of the run (June 8) at https://tix.is/en/buyingflow/tickets/15673/
Darren met with run coordinator Ragnar Már Vilhjálmsson to hear more.
