Today, RÚV English Radio is at Hafnarborg, in Hafnarfjörður.
The art space saw two new exhibitions launch yesterday.
One is We See What We Want to See by Elín Sigríður María Ólafsdóttir. Elín often works with fantastical imagery, in addition to drawing on the self and self-representation.
Also opening yesterday was Unknown Benevolence, curated by Þórhildur Tinna Sigurðardóttir, featuring fourteen artists from various countries. It touches on magic, and the need for what is magical. It is the fourteenth exhibition in Hafnarborg’s Autumn Exhibition Series, an annual collaboration with emerging curators.
Darren met with Hólmar Hólm, media and publishing manager at Hafnarborg, to hear about the exhibitions, and the ongoing curator call.
