Today, RÚV English Radio is in Garðabær.
The town's Museum of Design and Applied Art (https://www.honnunarsafn.is/en/about-the-museum) collects, archives and shares Icelandic design from the year 1900 to the present day.
Permanent exhibitions include JEWELLERY (https://www.honnunarsafn.is/en/syningar/jewellery), and AT HOME IN THE DESIGN MUSEUM (https://www.honnunarsafn.is/en/syningar/at-home-in-the-design-museum), which displays at any one time around 200 of over 5000 different items, displaying as a "blueprint of a home where different objects from different eras come together side by side."
Darren was guided around the museum by director Sigríður Sigurjónsdóttir.
