Today, RUV English Radio is in Stöðvarfjörður in East Iceland, at a beloved attraction.
An immense display of stones and minerals takes up a huge garden and most of a house in the East Iceland town of Stöðvarfjörður.
The collection was started halfway through the twentieth century by Petra Sveinsdóttir.
Despite her passing in the 2010s, the beautifully curated assortment continues to welcome fascinated visitors from across Iceland and the world.
Darren (who first visited in 1998) went to meet Petra's granddaughter, Unnur Sveinsdóttir, and find out more about the remarkable collection.
