Episode 97 - THE HORNSTRANDIR FILM FESTIVAL

Today, RÚV English looks ahead to a very special film festival.

In Iceland's far north-west, deep into the most inaccessible part of the Westfjords, a series of films are soon to show in four very special venues.

Hornstrandir, which can only be reached by boat or by hiking, will see four temporary cinemas pop up in July, to show a selection of environmentally-themed films from a diverse range of filmmakers.

For anyone who can't get to Hornstrandir - which will be many - there will be opportunities to stream the films in September.
