Today on RÚV English Radio, a quick trip to the Bjarnarhöfn Shark Museum (but we'll be back...)
The museum is a family business on the north coast of the Snæfellsnes peninsula. The family has been involved with sharks for the last hundred years, and counting. They are still curing shark meat, and also welcoming visitors at the museum, where people can learn about the process and the history of shark meat in Iceland.
The facility is about to switch into a very busy period, curing and preparing the meat for Þorrablót in January and February.
Darren met Guðjón Hildibrandsson at the museum.
