Today on RÚV English Radio: studying Icelandic as a second language in the country's university.
There are many different ways to pick up the Icelandic language - see many of them here, including our own weekly Auðskilið (https://www.ruv.is/english/2026-01-19-learn-icelandic-with-ruv-english-radio-463826) - but what if you want to study more deeply, or more formally?
The University of Iceland offers a variety of courses, including diplomas, and a BA. Darren discussed the many options (https://english.hi.is/programmes?combine_namsleit=icelandic&field_fraedasvid_kennsluskra_target_id[70724]=70724) with adjunct lecturers Katelin Marit Parsons and Védís Ragnheiðardóttir.
