RÚV English Radio - ART FOR THE WOMEN'S SHELTER

The Women's Shelter (Kvennaathvarf) offers safe shelter, advice and support for women and their children who have to flee their homes due to violence.

Helping to raise funds are a group of artists donating their work to be sold at Kirsuberjatréð on 25 and 26 April.

Darren spoke to shelter director Linda Dröfn Gunnarsdóttir and artist Kölskið who is donating two pieces, one of which (shown right) is of Hallgerðr "longbrók" Höskuldsdóttir, a character in Njáls saga.
